The Bluebird Nursery team welcomed over a hundred visitors on Saturday 18 April for a wonderful ‘Springtastic’ event – celebrating all things springtime in the sunshine.
Families enjoyed spending time together in the Nursery and outdoor courtyard, making the most of the warmer weather. Children loved getting creative with fun springtime arts and crafts, including creating colourful bunny cards with Art Teacher Mrs Paroussi.
A highlight for everyone was meeting the rescue animals from 2nd Chance Petting Farm. Children met Mary the sheep and her little lambs, and got to hold and stroke rabbits and friendly guinea pigs. Plus, everyone enjoyed learning about the the farm and the stories about how each of the rescue animals came to be rehomed.
Mrs Heal, Nursery Manager, said: “What a wonderful event. It was lovely to see so many little ones and parents enjoying the sunshine and the animals – and of course tucking into yummy mini carrot cakes.”
