who we are

PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION

Representing the voice of parents, the Parents’ Association organises a wide range of events and fundraising activities. All parents belong to our Parents’ Association, with year group representatives acting as a voice for parents in their year.

St Margaret’s warm and welcoming community enjoys the support of an active Parents’ Association

Events and fundraising

Members of the Parent’s Association play an invaluable role in supporting key school events such as Harvest Festival, spring concerts and our annual pantomime. Parents also coordinate a range of fundraising activities including cake and plant sales, the Christmas present sale, Christmas raffle and the St Margaret’s tea towel.

Money raised from the activities benefits pupils directly, with funds re- invested back into the school. In the past, this has included a trim trail, virtual reality headset and mobile coffee ‘horsebox’.

Annual fireworks

Every year St Margaret’s Parents’ Association organises a spectacular fireworks evening marking bonfire night, enjoyed not just by the St Margaret’s community but by St Mary’s pupils too. This family-friendly event is always a highlight in the St Margaret’s calendar with food and drink enjoyed beneath the sparkling skies in early November.

Parents are welcome to join the Parents Association committee in organising the activities, baking or to come along and meet families from the different year groups.
