St Margaret’s Prep held its annual Easter Parade last week with pupils from Nursery to Year 6 taking part. Children arrived wearing Easter hats and bonnets they had made themselves, featuring chicks, eggs, rabbits, carrots – and even a hot cross bun themed hat which looked good enough to eat!

Each class took part in a parade around the playground in the spring sunshine, hopping and dancing to Easter‑themed music while fellow pupils, teachers and staff clapped and cheered them on.

Prizes were awarded for standout creations in each year group by Art Teacher Mrs Paroussi. This year’s winners were:

  • Nursery: Per
  • Reception: Rocco and Raife
  • Year 1: Georgie
  • Year 2: Roux
  • Year 3: Ines
  • Year 4: Marlon
  • Year 5: Mabel
  • Year 6: Emily

Head of Prep, Mr Hopkins said: “This year’s Easter Parade was a wonderful way of ending the end of term on a real high in the spring sunshine. It’s always a real standout event for us that brings our whole school community together. I was so impressed by the level of creativity and effort from every single pupil, and it was excellent to see the whole school taking part in this annual tradition.”
